Delete your account
Receipt Tracker by Yehuda Gelb
How to delete your Receipt Tracker account and everything stored with it.
In the app
- Open the menu (the button in the top corner) and tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and enter your password.
- Tap Delete my account. It happens right away.
Without the app
Email the support address shown on the app’s Google Play listing, from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We check that the request came from the account’s own address, then delete the account within 30 days — usually much sooner — and reply to confirm.
What’s deleted
- Every receipt and receipt photo.
- Your products, prices, shopping lists, meals and meal plans.
- Your settings, budgets, notifications and sign-in.
In a family: if you own it, everything the family shares is deleted too and the members go back to their own data. If you’re a member, the data you had before joining is deleted and the family’s shared data stays with the family.
What’s kept
The app itself keeps no copy of a deleted account. A few copies remain elsewhere for a while:
- Database backups: our database provider, Supabase, keeps rolling backups for up to 7 days, then overwrites them.
- Our server and error logs, which may contain your account ID, for a short time.
- Google Play’s order and sales records of your purchases, kept by Google and, as tax law requires, by us.
- Short-term copies of the receipts and questions our AI provider, Anthropic, processed — deleted under its own retention rules.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are bought and managed in Google Play. Deleting your account in the app stops a subscription from renewing. A deletion requested by email doesn’t — cancel it yourself first.
Time already paid for isn’t refunded by the app; refunds are handled by Google Play.
