Terms of Use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Yehuda Gelb (“we”, “us”), who makes and runs Receipt Tracker. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. They’re short and written to be read.
The service
Receipt Tracker lets you scan grocery receipts, keep track of spending and prices, and plan meals and shopping. It runs as an Android app and on the web, with the same account in both.
Your account
- You need an account with a working email address. Keep your password safe — you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- You must be at least 13. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- One account per person. To share with your household, use the Family plan rather than sharing a password.
Plans
- Free: use the app at no cost, with monthly limits on receipt scans and questions to the assistant. You don’t need a subscription to use the app.
- Individual: a paid subscription for one person, with higher limits and the most accurate scanning.
- Family: a paid subscription for up to 5 people — the person who pays and up to 4 people they invite — who share one household’s receipts, lists, meals and plans, with one shared monthly allowance.
The current limits and prices are shown on the Plans page before you subscribe. We may change plans and limits in the future. If a change reduces what your paid plan includes, it applies from your next renewal, we’ll tell you beforehand, and you can cancel before it does.
Payment, renewal and cancelling
- Subscriptions are bought in the Android app through Google Play and charged to your Google account. The price and billing period are shown before you confirm.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price in effect then, until you cancel. Google Play tells you before a price changes.
- Cancel any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. You keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for; after that, the account goes back to Free. Uninstalling the app or signing out doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies. Where the law gives you a right to cancel and be refunded, we honour it — contact the support email on our Google Play page.
- Your subscription also unlocks the same account in the web app.
- If the family owner’s subscription ends, the family goes back to the Free plan’s limits.
Your content
Your receipts, photos and other data stay yours. You allow us to store and process them only to run the app for you — including sending them to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy. Only upload things you have the right to. In a family, what you add is shared with the family’s members.
AI features
Scanning and Ask your receipts use AI (Anthropic’s Claude). AI can misread a receipt or get an answer wrong: check totals, prices and dates against the receipt, and don’t rely on the app alone for tax, legal or financial decisions. You can report a wrong or inappropriate answer with the Report button under it; we keep the report to review the AI (see the Privacy Policy).
Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to break the law or anyone’s rights. Don’t try to reach other people’s accounts or data, overload or attack the service, get around plan limits, or copy, resell or scrape the service. Don’t use the assistant to create harmful content.
Ending your account
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why where we can. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give reasonable notice so you can export your data first.
The service as it is
We work to keep the app running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and features may change. Keep your own copy of anything important — Export CSV in the menu makes that easy.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as missed savings or lost data), and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer protection law, including Israel’s Consumer Protection Law, or any liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel will hear any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
